How to Transition Your Summer Dresses to Fall

This post is sponsored by Red Dress Boutique. As always, all opinions are my own.

Hi pretties!

I hope your week is going well! Today, I'm styling this gorgeous dress from Red Dress Boutique and showing you how to transition your Summer dresses into Fall. Also, I'm experimenting a bit with my photos today so let me know your thoughts below!

Summer is still in full swing in California and I'm dreaming of cool, crisp Fall days instead of 115 degree weather. Luckily, Fall is right around the corner and it's starting to cool down in many parts of the country. This is an interesting time of the year because it's in between seasons: mornings and evenings are getting cooler, but it's still warm during the day calling for an easy transitional look. While I'm not quite ready to bring out the boots and scarves or retire my summer dresses, creating a transitional look is a breeze with layering.

I thought that this peach dress from Red Dress Boutique was absolutely adorable! It's feminine and flirty with the most gorgeous detailing and the price is amazing (as with all RBD finds!). The color is perfect for nearly all seasons and would be a lovely piece to have going from Summer to Fall. Since it's still warm here, I styled it with a crochet duster kimono for a look that is romantic yet functional. The kimono gives the right amount of coverage but is still breathable. I opted for a metallic gladiator sandal and light grey studded clutch to contrast the overtly feminine pieces. When it gets cooler, it will be perfect with a chunky knit cardi and ankle boots.

Other ideas for styling:

1.) To add a bit of edginess, style it with a moto jacket and flat embellished ankle boot.
2.) Add a sheer cardi and over-the-knee boots for a romantic look.
3.) Pair it with beautiful fall colors such as navy, burgundy and plum.
