Pink Ruffle Sleeved Dress

Yesterday, my husband and I went to LA for a work meeting. While we were there, we checked out the craziest Zara sale I've seen and stopped at our favorite burger place for lunch. The rest of the weekend was spent napping, watching movies and taking time off of social media. Sometimes we can get so caught up in the social media craze (especially as a blogger) but every now and then, I think it's absolutely necessary to unplug. I won't lie, I have been feeling extremely burnt out lately and I think this time out was just the thing I needed to really evaluate things, set new goals for myself and start implementing the changes I've been wanting for this blog. :-)

Anyway, you all knowww my obsession with Chicwish! I own a ton of clothing from them and they are among my very favorite pieces in my closet. I know that if I need something fun, unique and affordable, they will surely have something. This dress stood out to me right away with it's gorgeous rose color and dynamic statement sleeves. I'm always super careful when it comes to voluminous articles of clothing because they can be overwhelming on my short frame, but I couldn't help falling in love with this dress! I think the proportions work well because the skirt is longer and not as structured plus the waist is cinched in, making it even more flattering. I paired it with a blush heel, beaded floral bag and graphic sunnies. A dainty necklace, bracelet and ring finished off the look.

I wore this outfit last week to teach my guitar lessons and it was a hit! Everyone thought it was the most adorable thing ever ;-)
