Hi pretties!
I hope you have been enjoying these guest posts. I am flying back from South Carolina this evening so I'll officially be back on the blog on Wednesday! Yay! <3
Today, I have Mary from
Layers of Chic on the blog. She was one of my guest bloggers while I traveled Europe last August and I'm so glad to have her back on. She has the most fun, unique and feminine style that I absolutely adore! We have bonded over our love of dresses, color and all things pretty so I know you'll love her too!
Hi loves! Mary here from Layers of Chic. Today I'm sharing with you one of my favorite shoots to date. A few reasons why: 1) An all-pink cafe 2) A candy pink outfit 3) Did I mention pink?! Yup, I've taken my obsession with pink to a whole new level with this candy-inspired oh so girly outfit. If you're in New York and haven't heard of Pietro Nolita, do yourself a favor and visit ASAP. It is one of the cutest cafes I've ever been to, and not only is the exterior pink, the interior is also all pink. Not to mention the cafe itself has really good coffee and food. And this is not sponsored by the way, I just really love the cafe and it's blogger photoshoot heaven.
To match the decor of Pietro Nolita, I knew I wanted to go over-the-top girly in my outfit choice. I started with this white ruffle blouse from Romwe that is so fun and looks like it came out of a pop music video. With the exaggerated ruffles, the blouse does overwhelm my petite frame a bit, so I did the only sensible thing one can do. I layered a pink bralette over the blouse to create more shape and a cinched effect. Since the top has a flared waist, I balanced out the proportions with a floral midi skirt. I have to admit this blouse was not the easiest to style, but I think I made it work. For my shoes, of course I chose a scalloped pink pair from FSJshoes. Keeping with the feminine vibe, I completed the outfit with a red thrifted bag.
For my jewelry, I fully embraced the oh-so-girly theme and went with not one, but two bib necklaces layered on top of each other. Both pieces have similar jewels, so it actually looks like one necklace from the pictures. I also chose my favorite statement red ring, and added some arm swag with a pink watch and rose gold bangle. And lastly, my nails are a bright green because it's Spring and why not?
I hope you've enjoyed this guest post! If you are feeling my style, I hope you'll hop over to my blog Layers of Chic for more feminine outfit inspiration.
