Yes, I have been wearing this hat and boots literally everyday. No, I don't care if it's 100 degrees outside. :-) Well, actually....right now it's a beautiful 75 degrees and it "rained" yesterday! BY rain, I mean sprinkle, but still! We hardly ever see water falling from the sky and with the major drought that we are in, it's very much needed. I can only hope that it continues.

Anyway, why can't I stop wearing these items you ask? Because they go with everything! Pencil skirt? Yes. Flowy dress? Yes. Maxi? Yes. Jeans? Yes. See what I mean? In this case, I have it paired with the beautiful Julia dress from the boutique. Julia and I haven't always been the best of friends. In fact, when I started selling clothing, I vowed to never carry this dress because I thought it would be "hard to wear." So I tried on this one and another one (with bows!) from a friend and couldn't believe how pretty it was! It was very flattering and definitely a lot different than what I am used to wearing. I'll be honest, I have some junk in the trunk so I am not always comfortable showing that off. Especially at work. I don't want it to look like I came back from the club. I don't feel that way with this dress. Yes, it is more form fitting than the rest, but it's not so tight that I can't breathe. Now I just have to work on being more confident wearing it!

The print on this dress is so bright and so much fun, so I wanted to tone it down with the accessories, but also give it a more boho feel. My go-to boots and floppy hat made another appearance. I wore a long pendant necklace to elongate the dress shape. Criss-cross rings and dainty bangles finished off the look.

Have a beautiful week!

  3. This outfit is so bright and fun, especially for the beginning of fall! My favorite piece is definitely the hat though, I've been quite obsessed with them myself!
