Oh, Spring time! How I love thee (and loathe thee). Spring is my absolute favorite season of all. The sun comes out, flowers are in bloom, and my heart smiles a little brighter. However, with such comes the dreaded allergies. I have year round allergies (lucky me), but every year around this time they get particularly awful and not even my daily medicine helps. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say its almost like a full blown cold. It's been two weeks already and I'm at the point where I feel like I'll never feel normal again. But I know I will and I absolutely love the feeling you get after being sick for a long time. You feel rejuvenated and energized, like you can conquer the world! What a great feeling.

So I got a request from a dear friend to do a business-type outfit. I'm not really much of an all black person, but for some companies with stricter dress codes, black is fool-proof and almost expected. Most might wear a plain black pencil skirt or even an A-line, but of course I have to add some tulle in there. It's subtle enough to pass as work appropriate, yet adds a whimsical effect and shows off your personality. I added a pop of color with the blouse for a bit fun. It's a beautiful emerald color that would be perfect on any skin tone. I finished off the look with black accessories so they wouldn't draw attention away from the outfit. I polished it off with one of my favorite jackets from Forever21. I got it many years ago, but it still looks brand new. It has a peplum at the bottom that is so incredibly flattering to my pear shaped figure....it would be flattering on any figure actually! I just love the bit of personality that removable leopard collar adds. From afar, it's a simple look, but up close it contains so many fun details. It would be great work outfit that you could feel good in.

Happy hump day!
