Today's link-up is all about black and white. There are so many ways to wear these opposing colors and I am so excited to see all of your outfits! This link-up series has been very exciting so far and I have met a lot of new bloggers. I hope that you have, as well! It is so important for us to support one another (plus, it's fun to get some inspiration). Hope you all are having a great time too and make sure to click the button below to add your blog link.

Black and white is such a broad category and you can style it in so many ways. It can be very graphic, which works well with opposite colors. It can be relaxed and laid back, but can also be very prim and dressed up. In my case, I chose something that I thought would be well put-together, yet fun. I used one of my favorite approaches to styling: print mixing. Mixing prints can seem daunting and can end up clashing if done the wrong way. However, there is just something to creatively freeing and rebellious in a way to mix things together in such a way. One of the best ways to mix is by using like colors. Black and white is classic, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try it out.

I got this poodle sweater many years ago, but it has remained one of my favorites for it's quirkiness. I paired it with a black polka dot skirt. The two patterns go well together because they are in the same color family. Also, they are scaled different (one is big, one is small) and are repetitive. Bringing everything together with accessories is important. However, I'm a rebel and print mixing is not enough so I had to add a pop of color. Yellow is one of my favorite colors to add to a black and white ensemble. It just makes me so happy! Gold accessories and black heels complete the look. It may a bit extreme for some, but I think it looks perfectly polished with a pop of pizazz. Plus, you only live once so have some fun with fashion! Yay!
