Jackson Pollock

If you are an artist (or even if you're not), then you know who Jackson Pollock is. You know, that guy that slung paint around on canvas making abstract entities? Well, this skirt totally reminds me of one of his paintings, which is why I think I was so drawn to it. I have been told many times that I dress "artsy." I guess this time it's pretty literal.

Again I am doing the print mixing thing, only this time I am using only black and white. As stated in a previous post, although both patterns are on a larger scale, they combine well because one is slightly more toned down than the other. For instance, the polka dot shirt is classic and grounds the chaotic print of the skirt making the outfit as a whole a little less crazy. Black and white jewels adorn the neckline and gold bracelets finish off the accessories. Of course, I have to add a pop of color somewhere to push the limits just a bit more, so these hot pink heels do the trick. I would like to think that if someone were walking down the street and saw me wearing this, they would think I was fun...not insane.  Haha!:-)

What do you think about print mixing?

  5. You kind of remind me of Hilary Duff! (That's a good thing because I'm obsessed with Hilary Duff haha) But I love the way you mixed your patterns in this outfit and your poses with the balloons are super cute!

  6. I love the idea of print mixing in outfits. It looks so nice, and adds something extra to your outfit. I really like the two patterns that you paired together for this outfit. They go very well together.
