Beautiful. This is what I would use to describe how I feel when I look at these pictures. It's amazing that outside of my barren city, there lies fields of wild flowers that stretch for miles: petals of orange and blue nestled among oak trees and tall grasses. The ideal place for a picnic...or in this case, a photo shoot. Yes, there are a million pictures in this post...but for a good reason. I can't just narrow down my favorites. I wanted to share them all!

When my friend Carissa asked if I would like to do a shoot, I jumped at the chance. Not only is she a beautiful person inside and out, but she has an amazing eye for photography. Some of the most beautiful images I have ever seen are shot by her and she has the most fantastic ideas for shoots. I just love photos that are feminine, soft and a bit ethereal and that's exactly what she shoots. When she said that we were traveling to the outskirts of town where there were hills of wildflowers, I did not expect to see an abundance of God's gorgeously crafted handiwork. A incredible location, at sunset no less, calls for amazing photos.

This dress is like something out of a dream. She said she had the perfect dress and boy, was it ever. So perfect, in fact, that I ordered one for myself! I just love wearing neutrals....especially cream, which is evident in my closet. And the lace....it was love at first sight. I kept my jewelry simple so not to distract from the dress. I paired it with cognac ankle booties and played around with my burgundy floppy hat. I would say that it was a successful shoot and I am definitely looking forward to taking more stunningly beautiful photos with her in the future.

You can check out more of her work on her website and if you are local, be sure to keep her in mind for future shoots.

    1. Thank you so much Rose! The dress is definitely a keeper. I brought the hat along just to play with, but some of my faves are with the hat!
